Warmest Congratulations again to our Computing graduate Lam Choi Ut for achieving the 11th China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award

The “China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award” is the highest honor award in the field of youth innovation in China. Our Computing graduate Lam Choi Ut is the only student who achieved this award in Macao.

She and her teammates under the guidance of Associate Professor Tang Su Kit won the following awards in 2017/18 academic year

  • Silver Award for Big-data Based Smart Parking Management Solution in 2017 Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Universities IT Project Competition held in Hong Kong
  • Silver medal at the 2nd National “Internet+” Univerisity Student Innovation and Entrepreneuship Competition.

On 30/8/2018, it was an honor for the Computing programme to invite Miss Lam to share her experiences and tips in participating the above-mentioned competitions with our Computing students and teachers. She also shared with us how to grow stronger over the past 4 years in MPI and overcome learning obstacles. During her free time, she does volunteering in community work as she believes that it helps reduce anxiety and stress.

MPI’s Computing programme has been playing an active role in nurturing IT professionals. Accredited by UK’s Institution of Engineering and Technology in 2011, it is the first higher education programme in Macao successfully going through an international academic review. Students, upon meeting the required academic standards, are eligible to apply for internationally recognised professional qualifications in the UK when they graduate. Graduates thus enjoy bright prospects in the job market. In addition, MPI has established collaborations with globally renowned universities, allowing outstanding graduates of the Computing programme to pursue graduate studies overseas.
