The Computing Programme has successfully achieved higher education academic accreditation granted by the Institution of Engineering and Technology from 2009 to 2020.  Qualified graduates of the Programme partially fulfil the Chartered Engineer educational requirement internationally. Students will be given an opportunity to work in a related organization through internship during their study, and apply their acquired IT knowledge and skills for resolving technical challenges through their internship course.

There are 3 specializations. Student can choose one of the following specializations: 

1. Enterprise Information Systems

Aims at providing students with an in-depth understanding of the information technology related to enterprise information systems, with an emphasis on business processes.

“Enterprise Information Systems” specialization includes the following specialized subjects in addition to the core subjects:

(a) Performance Evaluation

(b) Data Warehousing and Data Mining

(c) Statistics II

(d) Enterprise System and Application Development

(e) Strategic Planning for Information Systems

 

2. Gaming Technology

Aims at providing students with the general and advanced knowledge of current technologies and operating environment in the gaming industry.

“Gaming Technology” specialization includes the following specialized subjects in addition to the core subjects:

      (a) Introduction to Gaming Technology

      (b) Gaming Technology I

      (c) Mathematics for Gaming Technology

      (d) Gaming Technology II 

      (e) Computer Game Design and Development

 

3. Computer Education (New)

Aims at providing students with the general and advanced knowledge of computer education and its practicing environment in secondary education. Graduates completed this specialization will receive the secondary teacher qualification, recognized by the Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.

“Computer Education” specialization also includes the following subjects for teacher training. 

     (a) Introduction to Education

     (b) Educational Psychology and Counselling

     (c) Curriculum and Teaching Methods (IT in Secondary Education)

     (d) Teaching Practice I (IT in Secondary Education)

     (e) Teaching Practice II (IT in Secondary Education)
