To
access the computing services provided by the Computer Service Centre
(CSC), you need to have a NetID Computer Account.
|

The
NetID computer account enables you to access several IT services provided
by CSC, such as file and print sharing, email service, wireless network
access, student information enquiry, etc. |
| |
A
NetID Computer Account consists of a NetID and a NetPassword to identify
you to the computer systems. Each full-time
student and staff (except CDC, CCC and short course teachers)
has a NetID Computer Account that can be used to access the following
services: |

The NetID Computer Account will not be removed if continuous employment
for the current semester is detected on the above mentioned dates
in the Human Resource Management System.

For
security reasons, users are advised to change
the NetPassword once the account is created. |

Accounts
of full-time students are automatically created within 24 hours after
the student registration process is completed. |
| |
For
students, the NetID is the student ID in lower case without "-".
The initial NetPassword is your Macao Identity Card Number or your
passport number. Please notice that both NetID and NetPassword do
not contain any symbols.
For example, a student with Student No. P-02-8883-3 and Macao ID No.
2333444(7) will have the following NetID and initial NetPassword:

The
student NetID Computer Account will
be deleted 3 months after termination of studies.
i.e., should student continues to study at the Institute within 3
months time after termination or graduation of study, the account
will not be deleted. |

The
staff NetID Computer Account will be
deleted automatically upon contract
expiry date or termination of employment or dates mentioned above
for part-time academic staff. |

Users
are responsible to backup their own files from their accounts before
the accounts deletion.
