Our teachers presented their research achievements in the 10th Higher Education International Conference on Innovation and Developments in Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance
In order to explore the development in teaching and learning in countries along the Belt and Road countries and other regions, to share the developments in higher education quality assurance and facilitate the enhancement of quality in higher education in Macao, Macao Polytechnic Institute once again joined forces with the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) to organise the 10th Higher Education International Conference on Innovation and Developments in Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance. Over 40 experts and scholars in higher education coming from the United Kingdom, Portugal, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and other countries and regions gathered in Macao to explore factors affecting the quality of higher education, and share the trends and developments in the quality assurance in teaching and learning.

During the 4-days visit in Singapore, which took place in November 15-18 of 2018, students from the 2nd and the 3rd year of the Computing Program had the opportunity to tour the campus and the research facilities of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore polytechnic. A visit to a world-class university such as NTU has widened the horizon of the students, particularly in terms of the entrepreneurial spirit and the advancement of information technology fostered by the university and the government of Singapore. The students were also well received by the local representative of NTU and Singapore polytechnic, who expounded the rationale of the Singapore education system and addressed issues regarding professional development and studies in Singapore.

We have paid a visit to the MGS Entertainment Show on Nov.13. This is one of the biggest exhibitions of the similar kind around the year, which aims at exhibiting the upfront technology in the field of gaming and entertainment. The LT Game is one of the major exhibitors showing their latest technology in gaming, such as hybrid machines and automatic redemption machines. Two of our graduates (Mark Mak and Carson Ieong) who have graduated from our Computing program in Gaming Specialization were hired by the LT Game as senior technicians. They gave us a brief tour around their booth and introduced a variety of gaming machines and facility developed by the company.
